I asked our fearless leader wether I could do some blatent advertising here in our little nest of blue fur. And in his ever lasting wisdom and good looks he decreed that "yes, it would be fine" for me to advertise upon this hallowed sacred turf- - -
GET ON WITH IT!!!!!!!
Oh yeah sorry, well I have been noticing how successful the fan fiction related topics have been in this forum. Ever since that very first confusing Nightcrawler/Mystique body swop piece, to more mature pieces involving popular breakfast treats. So it came to my attention that you guys may be interested in this:
I have a friend called Andrew Ness, who is just starting out as a writer in the comic book industry. He has already had work published in 2000AD (a British comic magazine responisble for Grant Maorrison, Alan Moore and Judge Dread amongst others) and has been commisioned to produce three more stories for them.
But in addition to this Nessy also produces a monthly (about as regualr as Joe Mad) e-magazine called Nite-Flite. The Nite-Flite is set in the distant future in a time of trade wars and intergalactic gladitorial matches.
The stories are all set within the one universe, and rotate, so every month you read about new characters as well as old faces. Nessy writes most of the stories but is always looking for new writers and ideas. And this month may see the debut of yours truly as a Nite-Flite writer.
The e-magazine is sent straight to your inbox through e-groups, so there is no having to go to a special board etc. The readership is fastly growing, and I know that some people inside the industry read it too. So its a perfect way to not only have your work read by a lot of people but by people who are already where we want to be!!!
To get the magazine all you have to do is to send a blank e-mail to the address at the end of this post and information will be automaticaly sent to you, to tell you how to join. As a new member you will recieve some background information as well the first issue and the latest issue of Nite Flite (issue 6 I think). I personally promise that you will not get spammed as a result of joining Nite-Flite. I have been a member of Nite-Flite since the beginning and have not recieved one non-related e-mail.
If you are still interested, and I hope you are then send a e-mail to:
[email protected]
And sit back and enjoy the ride. This is not a hard sell, if you don't think you'll be interested then cool, but if you are, thank you for supporting Nite-Flite. Also if you can think of any other boards or forums where you think posting an advert like this may be beneficial could you please let me know. Thanks very much you guys!
(I don't think I've ever been so polite in my life)

My, Mit, that was polite!
I might just have to subscribe to that...
One question first: How high-volume is it? Is it just that one monthly thing? I belong to Outside the Lines at CFAN and it's pretty high volume. I can't hack two like that.

Its not high volume at all Slarti! In fact I havn't had an issue for two months! That's why I'm trying to booster up support and do a story myself so we can come back with a bang. The issues themselves are text only and are about eight sides of size 16 printed text and are pretty easy going fun stories.
Thanks for all the support guys! I hope you aren't disappointed!

For those of you that are not sure of Nite Flite being your type of thing, try checking out this website:
http://www.nite-flite.co.uk/
It is officially THE worst site on the web, but gives you a brief idea of some of the key elements of the Nite Flite universe. I have just submitted the first draft of my story so the next issue shouldn't be that far off. And maybe (if it gets in) I will post a teaser of the story here. Damn I'm good to you!
So no one can think of anywhere else I should advertise Nite Flite huh? Anyone? Guys?
